All the talk of the Australian flag being banned at the Big Day concert on January 25th, revolved around Australians using the flag to incite violence. However I could not find one article that carried my thoughts on the matter, which is that anyone whom would respond to the Australian flag in a violent way clearly must hate the flag and us anyway, which to my way of thinking is more the reason for the current tensions. Why is it ok for Lebanese football spectators/thugs to fly their flag at Bulldogs games? Clearly telling all that they are not Australian but Lebanese, and use it to intimidate those around them.
Try getting their flag banned and you will definetly get violence as a reaction. To the organiser of the BDO Mr West, you my friend need to get educated on the real problem, the constant pandering to minorities, which results in them getting ever bolder each time we give in to them and the do gooder fringe. It was refreshing for once that the Premier Mr Iemma actually took the Australian side in a matter, no dilemma this time eh? I was glad to see so many young Australians ignore Mr Wests request not to bring a flag, and wear them, fly them, and wave them with pride! That's the patriotism we need!
